December 3: Father Dwight Longenecker Leads An Advent Morning Of Reflection

November 21st, 2011

Join Father Dwight Longenecker for two inspiring talks exploring four powerful witnesses to the Incarnation of the Word.

Come “prepare the way of the Lord” in your mind and heart with our very special Advent Morning of Reflection, beginning at 9 a.m. on December 3rd in the Haid Theatre at Belmont Abbey College.

Join Father Dwight Longenecker for two inspiring talks exploring four powerful witnesses to the Incarnation of the Word among us:

     • The Priest, Zechariah: the father of John the Baptist, who responds with doubt and fear to the angel of the Lord.
     • The Prophet, John the Baptist: the forerunner of Christ who responds to the Word Incarnate with courageous obedience and reverence.
     • The Angel Gabriel: who brings the Word of God to the Blessed Virgin.
     • The Blessed Virgin: who responds to the Word with the simple obedience of innocence.

Father Longenecker is a married former Anglican priest who converted to the Catholic faith in 1995 and was ordained a Catholic priest in 2006. He now serves Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Parish in Greenville, S.C. He is the author of ten books, including Listen My Son, St. Benedict and St. Therese, More Christianity, Adventures in Orthodoxy and The Gargoyle Code. He has appeared numerous times on EWTN and is a very popular speaker and retreat leader.

Admission is a $10.00 tax-deductible donation to the College.

Our seating capacity is limited (less than 200) so please register online by December 1st by clicking the “Reserve Your Seat Online” button below.

If you have any questions, please contact Jillian Maisano at 704.461.6869.

Come give yourself a much-deserved early Christmas gift. One that will leave you feeling full of joy, love, peace and hope.
